Kelsea Ballerini Brings a Taste of Home to Patients in Nashville

For nearly 10 years Black River Entertainment recording artist Kelsea Ballerini has brought joy and music to hospital patients with Musicians On Call. Recently she returned to the hospital to visit patients at The Children’s Hospital at TriStar Centennial in Nashville. During her visit, she played and sang along with the young fans and formed unforgettable connections through her music.

“I think that music is just such a universal language, it makes you feel connected to yourself and other people at the same time. I think connection is the thing that is healing,” said Kelsea. “Whether it’s putting on music in the rooms or being able to bring it live to people going through difficult times, it’s allowing us to feel like we’re all on a journey together, getting each other through it and walking each other home. I think that’s the point of life, and certainly music.”

We were honored to recognize Kelsea’s commitment to delivering the healing power of music and present her with the Music Heals Golden Ukulele at MOC’s Anthems of Healing 25th Anniversary Celebration in May.
