Job Description:

Musicians On Call (MOC) delivers live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. By sharing live, in-room performances with patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, we add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility. Since 1999, Musicians On Call Volunteer Musicians have performed for over 1,000,000 patients, families and caregivers.

We are looking for virtual interns who can commit to an unpaid internship for the duration of the Fall semester.  Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate program and meet your university’s requirements to receive academic credit for this position. 

Musicians On Call is looking for remote interns who are based in Houston, Portland, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Orlando, Tampa, San Jose, or Las Vegas. This internship will take place remotely in the geographic location of your enrolled university. 

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field
  • Seeking experience for academic credit fulfillment
  • The ideal candidate will be very personable, highly organized, have a sharp eye for detail, possess great time management skills, comfortable presenting information to help recruit volunteers, and maintain professionalism at all times
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work independently, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong creative and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for and interest in learning more about the nonprofit world, music industry, healthcare, or related field(s) preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the ideation and development of a sustainable volunteer recruitment strategy in your local community
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment through in-person and social media interactions
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials for presentations
  • Assist with data entry and help create reports and spreadsheets
  • Assist in copywriting related to MOC programs
  • Event assistance and support, as needed
