A Message from our President and CEO in Regards to COVID-19

Dear MOC Family,

Like most of you, the Musicians On Call (MOC) team has been keeping a close watch on the news surrounding COVID-19. As of today, March 10, 2020, this is our best current view of the situation as it pertains to Musicians On Call.

As the virus continues to spread across the country, many of our hospital partners have suspended volunteer programs in their facilities. This affects Musicians On Call volunteers and our Bedside Performance Program. Out of an abundance of caution, and in consultation with our team and healthcare partners, I’ve decided to pause our Bedside Performance Program for the next three weeks to ensure we are doing our part to keep our volunteers and the people we serve safe.

That said, our mission of bringing music to people in healthcare facilities will not stop and is more important than ever. We will continue to focus our efforts to deliver the healing power of music through three primary initiatives:

1. Virtual Bedside Performance Program – MOC Volunteer Musicians perform remotely for patients via live broadcasts through hospital closed-circuit TV studios.

2. Music Pharmacy – MOC provides patients in all 50 states with tablets equipped with customized playlists and headphones optimized for the hospital setting to access the healing power of music at their bedsides.

3. #MOCHeals Playlist – On Monday, MOC will release a compilation of music videos recorded by MOC volunteers with patients in mind, which will be shared with healthcare facilities to offer to their patients or anyone who needs healing in the interim. Stay tuned and follow along with #MOCheals on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube!

Our team will be following the CDC’s Guidelines For Prevention and will be selecting their favorite from these 20 second hand washing tune recommendations; and we welcome you to do the same.

We will keep you updated on our program status as information develops. Thank you for your continued support of MOC!

All My Best,

Pete Griffin
President and CEO of Musicians On Call
