Boyz II Men Brings “Motownphilly” to Washington, DC For RIAA’s Annual Musicians On Call Fundraiser

Musicians On Call is grateful for the support of The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Spotify with their annual fundraiser. This annual charity event featured a live performance by Certified-Diamond-selling recording artists, Boyz II Men, and an appearance by guest DJ Jerzy. RIAA President and CEO/ MOC Board Chair Mitch Glazier and MOC Board Member Diane Pearson represented Musicians On Call and spoke during the show.

The crowd danced to their classic jams like Motownphilly and slowed down for their platinum-selling ballads like End of the Road. The event took place not long after their GRAMMYs memorial performance in honor of Kobe Bryant.

Proceeds from the event benefit MOC’s Bedside Performance Program in healthcare facilities in Washington DC’s greater metropolitan area, including Children’s National Medical Center, Virginia Hospital Center and the Baltimore VA Hospital, as well as its programs serving Veterans nationwide. Since 1999, MOC has delivered the healing power of music to more than 800,000 individuals nationwide.

Also at the event, Boyz II Men were recognized for their 35.5 Million RIAA Awards that have been earned across the span of their career. Their 12X Multi-Platinum album “II” released in 1994 on Motown is one of only 100 Diamond albums in music history.

Musicians On Call would also like to thank all of the great sponsors of the big night, including SoundExchange, Alibaba, GIPC – US Chamber of Commerce, NBC Universal, and, of course, RIAA and Spotify. The night would not have been as spectacular without their support!
