In Loving Memory of Pam Judd

On behalf of everyone at Musicians On Call, we are saddened to share that beloved supporter and Bay Area Advisory Board member Pam Judd has passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed, but her positive impact on the world will not be forgotten. Below is a testament from Pam’s close personal friend and fellow Bay Area Advisory Board member, Mary Mockus.

“Pam Judd died of metastatic breast cancer on Sept 25, at home, and in peace. She was a talented executive and a remarkably philanthropic person. I met Pam when she succeeded me as board president of Komen for the Cure. During her 15 years of involvement in that organization, she easily raised over a million dollars to help other women with breast cancer. So she was the first person I called when looking into starting Musicians On Call in the Bay Area. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the mission. With her usual diligence, her plan was to serve as a volunteer guide for at least 6 months before beginning fundraising. Unfortunately, she had just completed her onboarding as a volunteer guide when she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer in several sites. She fought hard. And she remained passionate about MOC. Her many friends and I will miss her terribly, but understand that she was ready.”
