What is your occupation outside of MOC? “I am a promotions coordinator for a radio station“
What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? “I work in music, music is literally a huge part of my life. I was apart of Rt 91 and I felt that I was one of the lucky ones and I felt like I needed to show my support for a place that helped so many of my friends who were effected that night. When I heard about MOC, with music meaning so much and Rt 91 being near to my heart, I just knew I wanted to be apart of this amazing program. .”
Has your life changed because of your experience with MOC? “I would say yes. I feel like its help with heart break after Rt 91 to show that music can help and heal and that’s what this program has done with me. ”
What is your favorite #MOCmoment? “I was in the children’s hospital, and one of the little girls was just having a bad day and the performer came in and she agreed to have them sing. And not even a couple notes into the song, you can see her mood change and she started to move her feet a little bit, then you see her shoulders moving, and then she just starts dancing in her bed. It was the purest moment I’ve seen so far. “
