The Kristen Ann Carr Fund
Committed to the fight against sarcoma and uplifting patients through music
Barbara Carr, Dave Marsh and Sasha Carr established The Kristen Ann Carr Fund (KACF) in memory of their daughter and sister, who passed away from sarcoma in 1993 at the age of 21. The fund was inspired by Kristen’s determination to make a difference for those battling sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer that she was diagnosed with at 19. Throughout her illness, Kristen and her family remained dedicated to raising awareness and funds to combat this disease, focusing on improving the lives of young adults with cancer.
Under their leadership, the Fund has become a significant force in the fight against sarcoma. Since 1993, KACF has provided financial support to several initiatives focused on patient care, including providing funding that helped launch Musicians On Call.
Their generosity is enabling Musicians On Call to create new technology and infrastructure for the organization to scale and serve millions more people in the years to come.
The Kristen Ann Carr Fund and Musicians On Call have embarked on a new $500,000 partnership to further advance MOC’s programs. With this partnership, MOC will establish the Kristen Ann Carr Bedside Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and create the annual Kristen Ann Carr Virtual Program.
You can support Musicians On Call’s programs and help us continue Kristen’s legacy of bringing joy and healing in hospitals through music.
