
Job Description
Musicians On Call (MOC) is a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. The PR and Talent Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for supporting the Marketing Department’s goals to build the MOC brand as a national organization through media relations; executing talent activations; stewarding and cultivating relationships within the artist community; and creating an emotional connection for our programs with supporters and volunteers. This position will be based out of Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Director of Artist Relations in managing stewardship with celebrity talent and industry teams to elevate MOC’s brand
- Assist Director of Artist Relations in administrative tasks relating to celebrity programs, events, fundraisers, auctions, committees and partnership opportunities on a local and national level
- Assist in managing and regularly auditing the organization of talent requests for programs, events, fundraisers, and auctions through pipelines and contact management in Salesforce
- Execute auctions including creation of solicitation materials, auction/sweepstakes pages and assets, fulfillment of prizes and stewardship of donors
- Provide regular updates on talent news and industry trends
- Assist in the fulfillment of marketing deliverables for sponsored and corporate partnership initiatives
- Work with Director of PR & Events to execute volunteer recruitment media strategies including researching and pitching local news, influencers and digital promotion platforms
- Maintain media lists and conduct regular research using MOC’s media database to update lists and build relationships with media contacts
- Execute strategy to build and maintain relationships with hospital PR staff in MOC’s program markets
- Assist in creating press releases and media pitches, talking points, scripts and key messaging copy
- Assist in submitting Musicians On Call’s programs and representatives for local and national speaking opportunities and awards programs
Education/Training:
- 1-3 years professional experience in PR and/or artist relations
- Knowledge of the music industry
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Disciplined self-starter who can set and achieve goals with a passion for and interest in learning more about the nonprofit and marketing worlds
- Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously, and work well under pressure

- Literacy in Google tools such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Ability to think critically to build tools to fit an organization’s needs in a timely manner
- Knowledge of web/marketing tools, such as Muck Rack, Pollstar, Canva, Salesforce, Pardot and Google Analytics a plus
